Visit a City Paris | Epic 3 Day Paris Itinerary
Paris is a city for everyone. It has world famous cuisine and gorgeous sites. Public transportation is easy and there are many options available. The metro is the underground train that runs throughout all times of the day. You are able to find the schedule online or even on your GPS. Thank you smartphones. 🙂 In addition, there are buses and trains that are easily accessible. Ensure if you have a specific site to get to at a certain time, you check the schedule ahead of time.
1. Eiffel Tower
First up is the famous Eiffel Tower. This is a MUST-SEE if you are in Paris. The Eiffel Tower is huge in person and is something you will stand in awe that you are able to experience it. In order to get the best shots, walk a block or two away from the Eiffel Tower. However, do not move so far away that the entire tower is not in site. There will be less people around a couple blocks away and it will be possible to get NO one in your picture.
Beware of grabbing food around the Eiffel Tower. There are restaurants that skyrocket their prices and the food in that area might not be authentic French food. This is not to say you could not find a great restaurant in that area, just be careful. You deserve to enjoy every single meal while in Paris. 🙂
2. Louvre Museum
Next up is the Louvre Museum. This is where the Mona Lisa is! Carve out some time when you visit Paris to go to this museum and you will not be disappointed. Keep in mind the museum is huge and the Mona Lisa is a decent walk from the entrance (if you were going to only see that). Outside of the Mona Lisa, this museum has a lot of history and a lot to see. You will see art from history in Greece, Italy, Spain, and more. They have various world-known artists such as Da Vinci, Delacroix, Caravaggio, and more. If you love exploring art, I would carve out a full day to explore and look around. There are statues and paintings from various centuries in this museum.
In addition, if you get hungry there is a cafeteria inside that is affordable. They have sandwiches, pastries, and even a Starbucks inside. There are several cafeterias and places to sit and enjoy lunch. It might not be easy getting back inside if you want to leave and come back for lunch so dining inside the museum is an option. The line to get in is typically very long.
I would recommend at least carving out half a day for the museum as the wait outside (even purchasing tickets ahead of time) it will take time to get inside. This is a very popular museum so I would recommend buying tickets online in advance especially if you are traveling during peak travel season.
3. Jardin Des Tuileries
This gorgeous garden is something to stop at on your way around Paris. The garden is somewhere to take beautiful pictures and enjoy that croissant you grabbed. There are people sitting, walking dogs, and admiring the views. The garden is right by the Louvre museum so this is something you could do on the way there or on your way back. It is something you do not want to miss as the upkeep is incredible and beautiful.
4. Trader Games
Fourth is Trader Games. This place brings back the feeling of nostalgia as you walk through the store and view all your favorite childhood games. I am not a gamer, but let me tell you this place had me feeling sentimental. You will find Funko Pops but also Disney princesses, figurines, and anything you could imagine. It was the Disney princesses that brought me back to my childhood. There is something for everyone at this store. There are also multiple floors! This is worth the stop if you are walking around and pass it.
5. Bakeries
Yes, bakeries is getting it’s own category because they are that good in Paris. If you are a lover of croissants, sweets, anything with pistachios, or puff pastry you will be in heaven while in Paris. There are bakeries on every corner and each one has it’s uniqueness. Below are some recommendations of bakeries to check out while you are in Paris.
- The French Bastards: The baked goods here are so delicious. This bakery is extremely popular so ensure you are giving yourself enough time in your day to stop by. It is better to go early in the day as the end of the day they run out of items. Anything you get here, you will not be disappointed. They run out at the end of the day for a reason!
- Boulangerie Liberté: Best croissants ever. The food is so fresh here and there is a variety of baked goods.
- Le Pain Quotidien: This is a restaurant/cafe/bakery. You could grab an espresso here but try the baked goods. The pistachio croissant was amazing. They have several locations.
- Laura Todd Fine Cookies: This cookie place is all over Paris and definitley worth going to. Favorite was a seasonal cookie there which was a smores. AMAZING. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a must try.
6. Restaurants
Paris is known for their cuisine and you want to try the best restaurants. A tip for trying new restaurants is looking them up ahead of time and making a reservation if needed. You are able to take your time looking at the menu and could plan your day accordingly. In addition, you are also able to see the reviews online and know the best food they offer. The popular and good places tend to get booked up fast so plan accordingly. A couple recommendations are below.
- Brasserie Flo: The food was delicious here. I highly recommend the beef tartare here if you are a fan or want to try. If you are looking for the popular and authentic or famous French cuisine (Crème brûlée, escargot), this is the place to go to.
- Mon Créme: This is a perfect restaurant to just grab drinks and/or eat. The ambiance was calming and all the staff was super sweet. All of the food was delicious and it is on a quieter street.
- Bistrot Victoires: This is a Bistro that is affordable with good quality food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially to foreigners. It tends to get crowded here so I would recommend making a reservation.

7. Westfield Forum Des Halles
If you wanted a perfect shopping day, this is your place. This mall is not huge but a nice place to get those steps in and get some shopping done. Some stores are located outside but most are indoors. This is a great place to stop by if you have a rainy day while traveling. There are a lot of American stores, but how cool is it to say you got those jeans in Paris?! 😀
8. Pont des Arts Bridge
Next up is the famous lock bridge. Unfortunately, you are no longer allowed to put locks on the bridge. 🙁 Very sad day finding this out. But this is still worth walking down for perfect pictures and views. There are rumors that you are allowed to put locks at Roman Catholic Church, Basilique du Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre instead. I am unsure if this will change and what the reasoning is behind the locks being forbidden at the Pont des Arts Bridge. The area by the bridge is gorgeous to walk around and grab a drink or food on your way. In addition, this is by the Jardin Des Tuileries and Louvre Museum so you could walk across this bridge on the way back.
Paris is a beautiful city with a lot to do. If you are one that is a foodie, this is the place for you. If you want to walk around or enjoy a beautiful park, this is also the place for you. Paris offers something for everyone.
